Amnesty International has called on the interim government to ensure a prompt, full, independent and impartial investigation into the killing of Inqilab Manch convener Sharif Osman bin Hadi and the subsequent violence.

The London-based human rights organization made the call in a post on social media X on Saturday.

The post mentioned that as part of the violence, the offices of Prothom Alo, The Daily Star and Chayanaut were set on fire and New Age editor Nurul Kabir was harassed.

Amnesty International strongly condemns these acts of violence, saying that these incidents have resulted in injuries, destruction of property, and even loss of life. The interim government must take immediate action to bring those responsible for the violence and killings to justice.
